Dig-Smart SMS As an optional add-on to Dig-Smart Enterprise, Dig-Smart SMS is aimed at improving communication and response between incoming Emergency tickets and the mobile field teams required to mark the site. In some workflow situations a gap exists where staff who screen the tickets in Dig-Smart Analyzer are also required to perform the field stakes. In an effort to mitigate the communication gap Dig-Smart SMS was developed to work behind the scenes in conjunction with Dig-Smart Server. While working in conjunction with Dig-Smart Server, Dig-Smart SMS sends Emergency ticket notices through common cell phone providers as text messages. This gives field crews instant notification of any incoming Emergency tickets received by Dig-Smart Analyzer. Once notified of the Emergency tickets, field teams can remotely connect to the network (if wireless is available) and download the newest batch of Emergency tickets.

Dig-Smart SMS serves as an out-of-office assistant when no one is around to check for tickets. Using cell phone-based text messaging, mobile teams are quickly alerted of any new emergency tickets.
